I
have drawn and painted all of my life, because I love
it.
My
mother put me in private lessons at the age of eight,
where the instructor , after a year, gave me a full
scholarship and had me helping with the beginner students.
I stayed with Mrs. Phelps until the age of fourteen.
Of course, I took all of the art classes I could throughout
Junior High and High School.
The
belt pouches came from a custom order and has evolved
into the versatile four in one pouch that I make now.
They are made on the seventy-five year old Singer I
inherited from my mom seventeen years ago.
I
love the challenge of watercolors. They can be very
sedate, or in your face brilliant. The idea for stretching
the paper around wood came to me at 2:00 in the morning.
I make my own stretchers, and finish the paintings with
four coats of polymer medium to protect and make the
piece stronger. I put heavy duty tape on the back of
the frame to protect wall surfaces, and give it a more
finished look.
Thank
you, Randie
